Brian H. Herschfus

Brian H. Herschfus is a Vice-President and shareholder of Wood, Kull, Herschfus, Obee & Kull, P.C., practicing business litigation, civil and criminal trial practice and employment law. Mr. Herschfus joined Wood and Wood, P.C., the predecessor to Wood, Kull, in 1987 and became Vice-President and shareholder in 1990.

Mr. Herschfus received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1988 and, while attending law school, studied international law in London, England, at Regents College.

Mr. Herschfus has litigated a wide range of business and commercial disputes in diverse areas, including real property disputes, contract disputes and general corporate litigation with particular concentration on employment law. Mr. Herschfus has litigated employment-related and professional licensing cases in favor of both plaintiffs and defendants and has defended claims before various administrative bodies.

Mr. Herschfus is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association and Southfield Bar Association. Mr. Herschfus has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Herschfus is the former Vice-Chairman of the Southfield Planning Commission and has lectured and given forums on various real estate-related issues to sellers and buyers.

Stuart Sandweiss

Stuart Sandweiss is the founder and President of Sandweiss Law Center, P.C., a law firm based in Southfield, Michigan. Mr. Sandweiss has considerable experience litigating business disputes as well as consumer protection cases. He is licensed to practice law in all Michigan courts, including the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court and is admitted to Federal practice in both the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Sandweiss also serves as an officer and shareholder of Sandweiss & Sandweiss, P.C., a Southfield C.P.A. firm. His business experience both as a C.P.A. and as the owner/manager of a commercial maintenance company make him uniquely qualified to give practical advice on many business matters as well as understand the complexities and nuances that often accompany litigation.

A native of Southfield, Michigan, Mr. Sandweiss graduated from the University of Michigan in 1985. He did graduate work at Wayne State University and became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1990. Later he attended the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude.

Mr. Sandweiss graduated second in his law school class and received awards for many subjects including Civil Procedure, Business Organizations, Negotiations and Advanced Legal Writing. He also earned top honors in Evidence, Tax Law and Internet Law. Mr. Sandweiss was a Dean's Scholar, an associate editor of the University of Detroit-Mercy Law Review, a member of the editorial staff of the Michigan Business Law Journal (where he was published) and participated in Moot Court competitions. He also served as a legal intern for Judge Patrick Duggan of the U.S. District Court and, prior to graduating law school, was inducted into the Frank Murphy Honor Society.

Mr. Sandweiss also participated in International Law programs, receiving a Certificate in International Studies from the Tulane/Cardozo International Institute in Jerusalem, Israel and a Certificate of Achievement from the Tulane-Albany Summer Program at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where he studied Constitutional Law with the then Chief Justice of the United States, the Honorable William H. Rehnquist. Mr. Sandweiss is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan (Litigation, Consumer Law and General Practice Sections), the Oakland County Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the Boards of Directors of a number of community organizations.
